Whale Watching Trips

The best times to see humpback whales around Sao Tome and Principe is between July and October as they migrate to their tropical mating and calving areas.

If you’re lucky, it is sometimes possible to see whales from the shore – particularly from Roca Belo Monte and Bom Bom Eco Lodge on Principe, and Mucumbli on Sao Tome. We also organise 2 to 3 hour whale watching trips and there are few things more extraordinary than witnessing these enormous mammals swimming past you.
